Singing Their Songs in The Blue
Ridenour Studios in Murfreesboro hosted The Bluelights Session, which featured four unique singer-songwriters, on Thursday, February 21.
Audio Story by Zoë Haggard, Parker Ciampa, and Morgan Larabie
Amid the dim yet colorful blue lights of the stage, four aspiring musicians—Audrey Edris, Eli Perron, Chloe Kimes, and Austin Sawyer—sang original songs in their raw, unfiltered voices, accompanied only by a guitar or piano. The young singer-songwriters, each with their own musical flare, shared the stage at the Ridenour Studios to play their own music through live performance, some of the songs having never been played in front of an audience before. The audience filled mostly with friends and connoisseurs of singer-songwriter music, clapped, laughed, and encouraged the performers. It appeared everyone in the audience was moved by the genuine, candid music. In the moments before the performance, the performers each shared their journey into music, their inspirations, and the importance of live music.
